The octopus Go tariff was introduced to me by Dale Pearson of Spectrum Geeks. His youtube channel is pretty awesome.

Off peak rates I am getting in the London area are 5p off peak and about 14p peak

With the go tariff, I am able to do a number of things between the hours of 12:30 AM to 04:30 AM.

Charge my car overnight.
Charge my Tesla powerwall if it's going to be a cloudy/rainy the next day
Put the dishwasher and washing machine on
Any other heavy-duty electric consumable on
I should mention I also have solar panels and a battery backup to take care of all my energy needs.

So far so good. My bills have decreased to about 10% for electricity since I installed the Solar PV system in March 2019.

If only we didnt live in a businessmans paradise in the usa,

My friends living in Vegas got really stitched up after they paid for a very expensive solar system,

Good for you that you live in a free country.

I also run my washer and drier at night time and the dishwash sometimes too, lower costs.

My major consumer is the 5 ton ac that cools the house.
